clarity.Personal expense tracking

Privacy Policy

Your financial history belongs to you.

Effective September 26, 2026. This policy covers the manual expense-tracking version of Clarity, provided by Jaylon Poole, and this support website.

Information in the app

The name you enter, expenses, merchants, categories, notes, budgets, goals, and recurring-expense dates are stored on your device. Clarity does not require a Clarity account or connect to your bank. Spending insights and calendar projections are calculated on your device. The app does not send your financial records to the developer.

Private iCloud sync

When iCloud is available, Clarity uses Apple’s CloudKit service to sync app records through your private iCloud database between your devices. This uses your Apple Account and Apple’s services; the developer does not receive access to your private expense history. You can manage iCloud access and storage in your device’s Apple Account settings. Without iCloud, manual tracking continues locally.

Apple’s handling of its services is described in Apple’s privacy policy.

Device authentication

If you enable the app lock, your device authenticates you using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode/password. Clarity receives the authentication result, not your biometric information or passcode.

No tracking or advertising

Clarity includes no advertising, third-party analytics, or external AI processing. It does not sell personal information or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Support you choose to send

If you email jaypoole98@outlook.com, your email address and message are processed through Microsoft Outlook to respond to your request. Do not send bank credentials or financial records. Support correspondence is used only to handle your inquiry and retained as needed to resolve it and meet applicable obligations. You may request deletion by email.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete expenses and goals within Clarity. Deletions may sync to your other devices through iCloud. Uninstalling the app removes its local app data, but may not remove iCloud data or device backups. Manage those separately in Apple’s iCloud storage and backup settings. The developer cannot retrieve or delete your private iCloud records for you.
